Posted 7/25/2019 - NYSDEC Announces Expedited Cleanup of Contamination Will Begin at State Superfund Site on Kingsland Ave., Brooklyn

This link opens a fact sheet about an upcoming expedited cleanup of contamination related to the 460 Kingsland Avenue Site #224135 (Brooklyn), within New York’s State Superfund Program:

Field work for this expedited action, known as an "Interim Remedial Measure", is anticipated to start in mid-August and last about 2 to 3 months.

Posted 6/20/2019 - The New York City Office of Environmental Remediation is providing the attached Fact Sheet pursuant to the New York City Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP). 

Domino A LLC and Domino B LLC has applied to enroll in the City VCP.  300-318 Kent Avenue site is located in Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York and consists of a 68,745 square-foot area with a 12-story, vacant factory.  The proposed future use of the property will be a 16-story building with a full cellar, courtyard, and two streets. The building will be used for commercial, retail, and community facility uses.

Public comment period on 300-318 Kent Avenue  site runs through July 19, 2019.

Posted 3/27/2019 - The New York City Office of Environmental Remediation is providing the attached Fact Sheet pursuant to the New York City Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP).  Brilliant Real Estate Development LLC has applied to enroll in the City VCP.  975 Manhattan Avenue site is located in Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, New York and consists of a 2,500 square-foot lot which is currently unoccupied and contains a one- and a two-story building with cellar and a concrete-paved rear yard.  The proposed future use of the property will be a 7-story, mixed commercial and residential use building with one cellar level. 

Public comment period on 975 Manhattan Avenue site runs through April 27, 2019.

The New York City Office of Environmental Remediation is providing the attached Fact Sheet pursuant to the New York City Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP). 

 233 Nevins Street, LLC has applied to enroll in the City VCP.  233 Nevins Street Phase 2 site is located in Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn, New York and consists of a 7,000 square-foot vacant parking lot.  The proposed future use of the property will include a 4-story slab on grade commercial building. 

 Public comment period on 233 Nevins Street site runs through April 19, 2018.

NYSDEC is accepting public comments about the proposal through May 11, 2019.

NYSDEC also has scheduled a public meeting on April 16, 2019 at 6:30 PM at PS 110 Monitor Elementary School, 124 Monitor St., Brooklyn, NY 11222 to discuss the proposed remedy and accept public comments. Please see fact sheet for details about the proposed remedy, meeting, and comment period.

Posted 3/26/2019 - The New York City Office of Environmental Remediation is providing the attached Fact Sheet pursuant to the New York City Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP).

OER has accepted the Remedial Action Report submitted by 351 Grand LLC for the property at 349-355 Grand Street, Brooklyn, New York. The Site consisted of a 7,500 square-foot parking lot. Track 4 remediation has been achieved and the property has been improved with a four 3-story mixed-use buildings with a partial basement and rear yard. This property is not in District 33 but it is close by so we wanted to share

Public comment period on 1021 Bedford Avenue site runs through April 22, 2019. This property is not in District 33 but it is close by so we wanted to share
