The Budget Process
It is a privilege to support the great work organizations do throughout Brooklyn and across the city. I look forward to yet another engaging budget submission process where I'll have the opportunity to learn more about the people and groups that continually improve the lives of our city's residents. In order to ensure your proposals are given the consideration they deserve, it is important to follow all the steps and guidelines outlined by the City Council. I hope we can continue learning from and supporting one another.
Application Submission Guidelines
For Organizations Submitting Expense Funding Proposals
From the NYC Council:
Please be advised that all not-for-profit community based organizations that wish to apply for discretionary funding for FY 2019 must submit a Council Application. The FY 2019 application is LIVE.
Apply for discretionary funding from Tuesday, January 2, 2018 until Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
Also please note that if an application is not submitted within the filing period, the community based organization will not be eligible for funding.

For Non-City Organizations Submitting a Capital Application
The deadline to submit capital applications to a Borough President's office is Thursday, February 20, 2018, 5:00pm. The deadline to submit an application to a council member's office or the Department of Cultural Affairs is Monday, March 26, 2018, 5:00pm. Non-City organizations that do not submit a completed application will not be considered for funding.
City institutions such as public schools, parks and libraries do not have to use this application—simply contact my office directly. Write an email to Edward Paulino, firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject line "City Capital Application."

Request a FY18 Budget Meeting
Please use the link below to request a budget meeting. Please note that given the high number of requests, we will be holding budget meetings on a limited number of days and will not be able to schedule a meeting with every organization. While we will not be able to schedule a meeting with every organization, we will still review each application and the materials you send about your programs.
The deadline to submit the request is by close of business day on Friday, January 19.
